Providing educators with the historical context omitted from the show.

Our elegant and congenial outreach staff rose bright and early over the long weekend to make sure each and every attendee of the museum’s educators workshop received the historical context that was omitted from the samurai exhibition.

Since there was some confusion among early attendees about which entrance to use and official museum employees were not to be found, we courteously guided them to the proper entrance and made sure they had all the information they needed to teach young minds about samurai in a socially responsible manner.

Speaking of education, we’ve accepted invitations to speak at several colleges and universities on the peninsula, in the East Bay, and here in the city, where we’re sharing our work, engaging students in the dialogue, and showing them how to do this kind of work themselves.  Hopefully we’re inspiring and empowering them in the process, and you can look forward to more socially engaged art coming soon to a neighborhood near you.
